Architect, designer, Graduated from Mimar Sinan University’s Department of Architecture, (1993). Earned her graduate degree from Istanbul Technical University (1997). Completed the Certificate Programme for Design Culture and Management at Istanbul Bilgi University (2003). She has worked in different fields such as design, architecture, the city and production. She is interested in the relationship and interaction among context-space-individual as far as interdisciplinary fields are concerned. She has been a part of various projects, events and platforms to demonstrate that sustainability and different approaches regarding the transformation of urban space are possible. She is the design director of Çelik Dizayn Lighting Firm since 1999. She is active in the NGO field and Vice President of Industrial Designers Society of Turkey Istanbul Branch (2006-2009); President, Board of Directors, Human Settlements Association (2008-2010); Made in Şişhane is one of her projects about an alternative approach for the city which is used district’s potential like dynamic network, design, creativity and small scale production. She is the member of Sulukule Platform and organized the 40 Days and 40 Nights Sulukule Events to stop the demolitions of the old Romany district Sulukule Neighbourhood. Ingin with the other architects Boğaçhan Dündaralp and Nilüfer Kozikoğlu’s works and talks about their practices and Istanbul published as a book named “Istanbul Para-Doxa” by Garanti Galeri. The last book of her realized with a group of people’s participation is Made in Sishane, on Istanbul, small-scale production and design.
